Many underestimate the importance of eliminating thermal bridges, even though they are one of the main causes of heat loss, moisture and mould, as well as overheating in summer and cold in winter. At Les Entitats 1, their elimination does not rely on complex or costly systems, but on sound engineering integrated into the structure of the building. Fresh air circulates through all living spaces 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Before entering the living spaces, the air passes through high efficiency filters that remove dust and allergens, and is adjusted to comfortable temperature and humidity levels. The result is deeper sleep, lower stress levels and a healthier way of living.
Airtightness of the house
In a passive house, air quality, temperature and humidity remain in constant balance, creating a stable and healthy indoor environment. The airtightness of the building is essential to achieve this balance, as it prevents energy losses and allows the ventilation system to operate accurately and efficiently.
As a result, the home’s energy consumption is reduced to a minimum, heating and cooling costs decrease, and its environmental footprint is almost eliminated.

The home is equipped with a Mitsubishi heat pump that combines heating, cooling and domestic hot water in a single system. Air is distributed through ducted i-LIFE3 fan coil units, maintaining an even temperature throughout the house without noise or draughts. Thanks to its combined operation with the energy recovery ventilation system, the indoor environment remains cool in summer and warm in winter, always balanced and healthy, with minimal energy consumption.
Smart and efficient climate control
The Zehnder ComfoAir Q350 ERV system continuously renews the air in the home, filtering out dust, allergens and fine particles. Its energy recovery technology balances the temperature of incoming air and reduces excess humidity, preventing condensation and mould.
Connected to the Loxone smart home system and CO₂ sensors, the ventilation airflow is automatically adjusted according to the air quality in each room. The indoor environment remains consistently clean and balanced, supporting deep rest and a continuous sense of comfort and wellbeing.

The Loxone smart home system connects and coordinates all the home’s technical systems, including climate control, ventilation, energy management, lighting, security and solar shading. Each system operates in sync, automatically adjusting the indoor environment according to the time of day, natural light levels and occupancy.
